Format

16 Teams

Round Robin Pool Play (3 games) followed by Single Elimination Tournament

Entry Fee

$200 per team

GAME RULES

  • Start Line — 40 yard line
  • 4 downs to get to the 20, then 4 more to score
  • 1-hand touch
  • 4-second sack rule
  • 25-second play clock
  • Fumbles dead on the spot (no turnover)
  • Scoring: 7 points for TD, 2 points for a defensive stop, 4 points for an INT (INT dead on spot, no returns)
  • ALL DBs MUST play minimum of 2 yards off ball (NO press off LOS)

Scoring note: Defensive points are separate — a defensive stop is 2pts for the team, an INT is 4pts for the team. These do NOT stack on a TD (7pts max for a scoring drive).

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

  • Pool Play format: 1v2, 3v4, 1v3, 2v4, 1v4, 2v3
  • Pool Play Points: 2 pts for a win, 1 pt for a tie, 0 pts for a loss (World Cup style)
  • Single Elimination seeding based on pool play points
  • Top 4 seeds automatically go to pool play winners
  • Tie Breaker #1: Total points scored in pool play
  • Tie Breaker #2: Coin toss

Game length: 20 minutes (running clock)
Between games: 5 minutes max between games
Fields: Stadium Turf and Turf 2 (all turf fields)

IMPORTANT NOTES

Parking

Park next to the softball/baseball fields if on Turf 2. NO parking in the small athletics circle. Parents/fans watch from bleachers/outside fence. Players & coaches only on the track.

Trainer

Trainer on campus for the evening. Ice available upon request. Water and taping NOT provided.

Required Gear

Mouthpiece and cleats required. Each team brings 2 different color shirts.

Sportsmanship

Each coaching staff is responsible for their athletes' actions. Sportsmanship is priority #1. Any team violating sportsmanship will be asked to leave.
